(This page was published in 1999.)

Hello fan's, be patient and I will soon be with you........
Which, sorry to say, dont happen to often
Here is my tribute to the screen-workers.... (just push the pics)
Mr Chaplin Mr. Nicholson Jodie Mr. Hoffman

The genius! Mr Charlie Chaplin
Delicious italian pasta. Or ???????????? My favourite actor, director, writer, composer ,you name it ,
is of course Charlie Chaplin !!
Born 1889 (!!) he sat a unik standard of behaving on film which
many later actors and directors are influenced by !
In several films, long or short, coloured or not, silence or with sound.
Remember : The Vagabond, The Kid, The Gold Rush, City Lights, Modern Times, Limelight ?
Only to mention a handful of his masterpieces....

From the "modern time" my favourite actors are:
Number 1. male actor: Jack Nicholson:
Jack is smiling !!!!!!!!! Starting some 40 years ago (1958 !!) he is best known for his latter films
BUT: I hope you haven't forgotten him in Easy Rider (1969), as the passenger on motor-bike,
or the only (?) normal man , Mr Randle Patrick McMurphy (what a name),
in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975).
The masterpiece of modern horror: The Shining (1980),
The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981), (seducing (!) Jessica L.  on the kitchen table),
Prizzi's Honour(1985),
And strangly enough not as witch in The Witches of Eastwick, (1987),
as Joker in Batman (1989), The Two Jakes, (1990),
Man Trouble (1992), A Few Good Men, (1992),
As Mr Hoffa in the film Hoffa (1992).
And more: Wolf(1994), The Crossing Guard, (1995),
The Evening Star(1996), Mars Attacks! (1996),
just to mention a few of the latter film where he appears.
He is a fantastic actor with great carisma !!!

The foremost female actress: Jodie Foster
Hi, my name is Jodie.. not Clarice ! I remember Jodie Foster among others from the movies Taxi Driver (1976),
very convincing showing us the raped victim in The Accused (1988),
Little Man Tate (1991),
and as the FBI agent Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs, (1991).
And of course : Shadows and Fog (1992), Sommersby (1993),
Maverick (1994), Nell (1994), Flora Plum (1998),

- - - - -

(what she touches turnes into gold..)
She's not longer young, but she's certainly very promising !

in King Kong (1976), All That Jazz (1979),
The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981) (with Jack N.),
Frances (1982), Tootsie (1982) (playing up to Dustin. H.),
Cape Fear (1991) fighting with Robert De Niro
And recently in Cousin Bette (1998) and Hush (1998).

And of course Dustin Hoffman :
I meet him first as Benjamin Braddock in The Graduate (1967), romancing (ms and) mrs Robinson in the Sound of Silence...,
Splendid.
Then I remember him with Paul Newman in All the President's Men (1976),
jogging around Centrar Park and chasing or beeing chased by Sir Lawrence Olivier in Marathon Man (1976),
playing an unemployed actor acting as a the female actress in Tootsie (1982) (I'm Dorothy Michaels)
And finally he will long be remembered for his Raymond Babbitt in Rain Man (1988).

Hero (1992), Hook (1991) , Billy Bathgate (1991) ,
Should I ?

Have you been visiting my top 10 of musicals (frames version)

My favourite films
besides of course the films involving my favourite actors/actresses,
are films with action, not to much violence, but stage-acting.
India Jones and his histories are entertaining, also films based on plays:
The struggle for a job on stage in A Chorus Line,
the "modern" life of Romeo and Juliet: West Side Story ,
and more Shakespeare : Mel Gibson in Hamlet ( the danish prince).

I like Milos Forman's Hair, a flowered experience in the music of Ragni/Rado/MacDermot,
and the dance and mass-scenes of Central Park !!

(Yes, it is a good reminder of old times )
Agree ? Then check out my musical pages..
