London, England 2004...

We attended Dramatic Tours winter 2004, on a theater tour where no one knew where we were going. Except for the tour guides.

The first hint was Copenhagen, but on OSL (Gardermoen Oslo Airport) the end point was changed to London

Dramatic Tours was a gimmic, all partisipants were  members of "Det Dramatiske Selskab" with an aim to watch shows in London.

Late in the evening we arrived the hotel in Paddington, a hotel merged by three different houses, which made it easy to get lost in the hallways. But everyone was saved.
And the subway curse ran right below. Exciting.

And the next day we started our march to watch plays:

We watched this english spoken play. With a lady swinging back and forth and throwing off one garment at a time every time she disappeared onto the stage. They say...
Sorry for not knowing the title.

This was a matinee, so afterwards people went sightseeing / shopping or to the pub.

Then afterwards we had dinner at a Turkish restaurant

The next day it was no matinee, so people went sightseeing / shopping or to the pub.

But in the evening we attended a musical, "Bombay Dreams", produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber at the "Apollo Victoria Theatre".

And we all sang "Shakala Baby" the rest of the tour

and discovered that the English pubs closed earlier than those in Norway

The next and last day of the our we went to Apple Market on Covent Garden.

We did not meet the Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle nor professor Henry Higgins.
But a nice quartet playing i the cellar.

A fine end to a cozy trip
